Origins

What is Shengsheng?

生生之谓易

“The continuous generation of life is called change.”

— I Ching, the Book of Changes

生生 (Shengsheng) means life begetting life — endless renewal, regeneration, and cyclical growth. Nature never stops regenerating. Human vitality can be continuously cultivated. Climate resilience is about living renewal, not just survival. Paired with “In Season”, it grounds this philosophy in the rhythms of nature — living with the seasons, not against them.
